"Saving Kyloring" Tea Towel
~
The Western Ground Parrot "One of the forgotten Australian bushfire victims" also known as Kyloring (Noongar).
~
I have designed this tea towel to raise funds for the critically endangered Western Ground Parrots. It features my water colour art work of three parrots and three native flowers from their habitats including the Cape Arid Grevillea, Esperance Banksia and the Swamp Bottlebrush. The background is a lovely sky blue fading into white.

A large portion of profits from each sale will be donated directly to The Friends of The Western Ground Parrot charity.

There is thought to be less than only 150 left in the wild and possibly less since the Esperance fires in December. One of the worlds rarest and most endangered birds, they are not only affected by fires but also by foxes and feral cats because they nest on the ground. I lived in Esperance WA for 19 years of my life so it's close to home for me and I feel very passionate about helping.
